Responsibilities:
Child-Centered Learning: Foster the cognitive, social, and emotional development of two-year-olds through engaging and age-appropriate activities.
Curriculum Implementation: Plan and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans that stimulate curiosity and support the individual needs of each child.
Classroom Management: Create a positive and organized classroom environment, promoting a sense of security and exploration.
Parent Communication: Establish effective communication with parents, providing updates on their child's progress, activities, and any relevant information.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational community.
Safety Compliance: Ensure the well-being of children by adhering to safety standards and implementing proper protocols.
Flexibility: Embrace the dynamic nature of working with two-year-olds, adapting to their evolving needs and interests.
Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education: A degree or certification (or working towards) in early childhood education or a related field. ECD 101 is required with in the first six months of employment.
Experience: Previous experience working with two-year-olds in a teaching capacity is highly desirable.
Patience and Flexibility: Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a genuine understanding of the unique needs of two-year-olds.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both children and parents.
Passion for Education: A deep passion for fostering early childhood development and a commitment to creating a positive and enriching learning environment.
