JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Associate to support our operations. This individual should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for accounting. This is a fully remote position and will be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support day-to-day accounting tasks, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintenance of the general ledger, and asset tracking.
- Assists with compliance of regulatory reporting and tax requirements.
- Perform timely and accurate month-end close process including month-end entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assemble various financial statements and reporting at the direction of the Chief Operations Officer.
- Perform select payroll system and reporting functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A drive to succeed and passion for self improvement
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and GAAP accounting principles preferred
- Proficient with Excel and other accounting related software preferred.
- Requires 0-2 years of general work experience, preferably in Office Management, Accounting/Bookkeeping support, AR/AP
- Possess strong reading, writing and verbal communication skills in English
- Proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills including data entry
- Proficiency with Communication Tools (Teams/Zoom, Outlook/Gmail)
