bride's assistant/baby sitter

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Babysitter/Nanny to provide care for children during our wedding. We will have a separate room above the reception for our guests to bring their babies and children. We plan to have toys, games, coloring, and possibly movies for the kiddos. Some babies may be as young as 6 weeks old. We want them to have a quiet place to nap through most of the event, especially if there is music and dancing that is too loud for them. They will just need to be entertained and supervised during this time. This role requires a responsible individual who can ensure the safety and well-being of children while fostering a positive atmosphere.

We also need someone to assist the marrying couple with any tasks before and during the wedding. This will include duties listed below, as well as any other assistant type tasks that come up. Primarily tasked as "bride's second hand" to move or retrieve things because once she starts getting ready, she will not be able to leave the get ready room until the ceremony starts. We may also have you walking our dogs a few times through the day, so animal lover is a plus.

Although this may be a long work day, this will be a very simple, laid back gig. We will need to hire 1-2 people to either work an 8-10 hour day, or possibly take shifts and do a shorter day. Duties

• Supervise and engage with children in various activities, including playtime, art, games, etc.
• Notify parents when a child or baby needs their attention, but try to not pull parents in if not necessary.
• Keep a calm, quiet room for children and babies
• Give snacks or bottles if needed
• Help bride with any last minute tasks before ceremony starts
• Move chairs from ceremony into reception room
• Meet food delivery driver or pick up dinner for event
• Walk dogs around property

Requirements

• Proven experience in childcare, babysitting, or nannying is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Experience working with children of various ages, including toddlers and babies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both children and parents.
• Experience as a personal assistant preferred but not required.
• Able to resolve problems on their own.
• Good time management
• Be good with nervous dogs/know how to read animals well

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• Personal assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
• Animal care: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
