Part-Time Pilot Car Driver

C & B Logistics is a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 35 years to include thirty-six John Deere dealerships in six states. We currently have an opening for a Part-time Pilot Car Driver in Glasgow, Montana. This individual is responsible for escorting the trucks to and from pickup and delivery locations. A Pilot Car Driver is also responsible for ensuring the safety of the traveling public, prevention of damage to the highway system and load being transported.

Essential Duties

• Follows designated route in and out from sites as determined by leadership, the truck drivers and oversize overweight permits
• Directs movement of traffic to, from and through site, using amber lights and CB callouts
• Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed: follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, traffic cones and other warning devices; communicates using CB radio as needed; duties may vary according to job assignment
• Maintains proper speed at all times as determined by leadership
• Reports safety hazards and traffic problems to team immediately
• Maintains professional appearance and attitude
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 to apply
• Have a minimum of 3 years driving experience
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Ability to pass a MVR check
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
