Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team across Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, Northern Alabama, Western Arkansas, and Southern Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial sales, preferably in the linen rental industry, and a passion for building and mentoring high-performing sales teams.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed sales targets
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories
- Conduct regular sales performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create individual development plans to enhance skills and knowledge
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of our services
- Identify and close any prospective customers would be valuable additions to our customer base
- Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at existing and prospective client accounts
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize revenue and profitability
· Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, contributing to the overall growth objectives of the company
· Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of our company's relationship with them
· Identify emerging markets and opportunities for expansion
· Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications, and competition for defined geography and accounts
· In conjunction with sales team develop, maintain, and execute a territory plan. And continually assess current business distribution channels, develop and evaluate their performance, and manage conflict, ensuring alignment with territory plans
· Maintain data relative to partners, accounts, and activities
· Document all customer interactions
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
· Prepare and oversee sales budget
· Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies, develop campaigns, and generate leads that drive sales growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, sales, marketing, or related field from an accredited university required
- Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience, preferably in the commercial linen rental or a similar service industry
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and expanding market share
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Strong understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing deals
- Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel with a valid driver's license
