Job Summary:
- C&C Cleaning Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Facility Maintenance Technician to provide general maintenance and upkeep of school district facilities. This role is a part-time position working Monday through Friday. The technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that school buildings, grounds, and equipment are kept in optimal working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general building maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and painting work.
- Inspect and maintain HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems to ensure they are operating efficiently.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders from school administrators and staff in a timely manner.
- ensuring that walkways and parking lots are free of debris.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining furniture and equipment for events, classrooms, or activities.
- Ensure the safety of students and staff by maintaining safe and clean environments both indoors and outdoors.
- Replace or repair light bulbs, filters, and other necessary supplies.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, damages, or needed repairs to supervisors.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks, such as snow removal in the winter months.
- Adhere to all school district policies, safety regulations, and best practices related to facility maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in facility maintenance is a plus.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, general construction, or related fields preferred.
- Ability to perform light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance work.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with school staff and administrators.
- Must have the physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
- Ability to work flexible hours and be responsive to school district needs.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
