As the Guinness World Record holder for the Largest Collegiate Retail Store in the World, we offer 28,750 square feet of everything Aggie. Alongside our boutique sister store Maroon U, we provide a curated shopping experience for every style of fan.
We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated Retail Buyer who’s passionate about collegiate fashion and thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
As a Retail Buyer, you’ll play a key role on our growing retail team—supporting purchasing strategy, sourcing new products, analyzing inventory, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you'll help ensure that our merchandise reflects the latest trends and continues to excite the Aggie community.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate inventory reports and analyze sales trends to maintain optimal stock levels
- Fulfill orders to keep active SKUs well-stocked
- Attend product development meetings to review and evaluate new merchandise
- Travel 2–3 times per year to markets and tradeshows to source new products and ideas
- Build and maintain vendor relationships; assess vendor offerings and agendas
- Research and source new vendors and products to keep assortments fresh and on trend
- Stay current on graphic design and retail product trends in collegiate fashion
- Assist with merchandise floor layouts and visual presentation updates
- Support Warehouse-hosted events as needed
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly interpret sales and inventory data
- Team-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for vendor interactions
- Proactive and accountable with strong ownership of responsibilities
- Quick to adapt and respond in a fast-moving environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, merchandising, or related field (preferred)
