Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Working Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction trades and demonstrate exceptional leadership and organizational skills. As a Superintendent, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and laborers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Review project plans and schematics to ensure accurate execution of construction activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to project timelines.
- Oversee construction estimating processes to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the construction process, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, including daily logs, change orders, and reports on labor hours.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of various construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, drywall installation, flooring installation, plastering, and painting.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices and project management software is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
