Pay Rate Information
This is a temporary to permanent hire Service Contract Act position with an hourly pay rate of $23.70 that includes a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.57 an hour.
Service Contract Act, or SCA, position pay rates are determined by the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.

Upon completion of six (6) months of employment, the selected candidate can expect an annual salary as a permanent full-time employee with the federal contractor.

Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year experience on major litigation support projects or an undergraduate degree
- Assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate coursework in finance/ accounting, healthcare, or experience in the legal environment or in information technology
- Strong document review skills for example reviewing claims, patient records et cetera
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure extremely important
- Able to read and follow instructions.

- Able to understand task, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole
- Take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g., where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective)

- Typing/keyboarding skills; word-per-minute
- Knowledgeable user of the government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems
- Strong document review skill set (reviewing claims, patient records, et c.)

Document Management Analyst I
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Under the direction of Task Supervisor performs the following tasks while complying with established procedures:
- Performs moderately complex litigation support tasks, including
- Detailed review and analysis of case materials in a broad range of subject matters, such as financial records, health care materials, and other litigation files;
- Detailed indexing of case files
- Drafting procedures for accomplishing litigation support assignments
- Document acquisition related tasks; Conducting database searches.
- Proofreads and edits deliverable products
- Sometimes serves as "team leader" for larger group of Document Management Technicians and clerical support staff
- Often works with minimal supervision

- Collate and review evidence in newly submitted claims
- Responsible for reviewing claim-related evidence, database management, and accurately documenting the steps per guidelines
- May assist with case management activities as needed

- Filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials
- Creating witness binders
- Preparing deposition and trial exhibits

- Entering data on-line to case files and other databases
- Performs simple database searches

- Proofreading, editing, correcting Optical Character Recognition (OCR) text files
- Retrieving and blowing back documents and digital image media; tabbing, numbering, labeling, assembling documents
- Filling out log sheets and reporting on task progress; and performing quality control on the work of peers in all of these areas

- Prepares documents for image scanning
- Performs other document collection related activities, including document screening, and labeling of files to be scanned
