ASSEMBLY OPERATOR A
Dept: 10 Direct Labor
Reporting to: Assembly Lead
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Union Position Salary Range: per union scale
The Assembly Operator A will be tasked with assembling machinery. The Assembly Operator A will apply knowledge of electrical theory and procedures, shop mathematics, wiring diagrams, materials and layout techniques in assembling machines.
Duties:
- Clean equipment
- Prep equipment for testing
- Material Handler breaking down equipment after testing.
- Use hand tools.
- Able to follow job pick list.
- Use micrometers, calipers, ruler, and other measuring instruments.
- Set-up jobs and choose proper tools for the application.
- Read wiring/electrical diagrams.
- Able to test equipment – using Hi Pod tester.
- Multitask and flexibility from one job to another.
- Ability to build machines to electrical specifications.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and instructions.
Education/Certification: Minimum 18 years of age.
Required Knowledge: High School level reading and writing in the English language. High school level math.
Experience Required: Manufacturing Plant experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities: standard computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
Job Expectations: Ability to operate normal and customary equipment/technology used in a business environment, with or without accommodation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
