Summary
This position will be responsible for assisting our installation team to complete full
installations, service calls, and troubleshooting work. Your work will primarily be solar related
installation & service, but you will assist with other electrical / misc. jobs as needed.
This position will require someone who is well organized, a quick learner, and ready to
work. The position will include physical demands of working on steep rooftops, lifting
heavy equipment and ensuring safe working conditions.
Required Experiences :
NABCEP PV associate or board certification is a PLUS
Knowledge of residential & commercial, single-phase & 3-phase electrical equipment, cabling, and installation methods
Knowledge with solar equipment, modules, inverters, racking, and monitoring systems
Knowledge of current national electrical codes
Knowledge or experience with electrical drawings and site survey work
Experience with proper use of fall prevention and fall restraint systems
Good with technology, software, mobile apps, and computers
Experience & knowledge with the following systems is a PLUS : Enphase - IQ Microinverters, IQ battery, IQ system controller, IQ gateway SMA - String Inverters, Commercial String Inverters Iron Ridge, Unirac, & Sunmodo - ground & roof mount racking systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assisting with gathering materials for upcoming jobs.
Counting orders for accuracy and / or organizing warehouse space and equipment.
Performing detailed site surveys of structural dimensions and electrical equipment prior to installation.
Performing all parts of solar installation including rooftop work, ground mount assembly, and all Electrical wiring.
Commissioning and activation of systems upon utility PTO.
Actively learning and training on new equipment while looking for better ways to improve our overall quality of work and installation efficiency.
Complete service calls for troubleshooting systems.
Diagnose system issues, recommend equipment replacements, necessary repairs, and assist with completing service work orders.
Assist with electrical work orders.
Assist with any other miscellaneous work orders.
Protects company value by keeping information confidential.
Performs other duties as assigned my management team.
