We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide training and development programs for employees on safety practices, emergency response, and first aid.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation law, EPA regulations, and other relevant legislation affecting workplace safety.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics for management review.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations related to workplace safety.
- Proficiency in report writing to document findings from audits, investigations, and training sessions.
- Experience with workers' compensation claims management and understanding of workers' compensation law.
- Ability to develop effective training programs that enhance employee awareness of safety practices.
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and practices.
- Competence in conducting root cause analysis for incident investigations.
- First aid certification is preferred; ability to fabricate solutions for unique safety challenges is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety information across all levels of the organization.
