What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tender position at C-Dive?
U.S. Based Applicants
Scope and Purpose:
The tender/diver is assigned by the diving supervisor or designated diving person in charge (DPIC) to perform various duties, which may include diving.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and support the dive until its completion
2. Assist the diver in dressing and undressing
3. Confirm the diver's equipment is functioning properly and inform the diving supervisor that the diver is ready.
4. Tend the diver's umbilical (keeping at least one hadn't on the umbilical at all times) and be aware of the diver's depth and locations at all times
5. Support any in-water decompression as required
6. Set up and operate all equipment as directed by the supervisor or his representative.
7. Perform routine maintenance on diving equipment
8. Repair such equipment as he is qualified to checkout to repair.
9. Assist in topside work a directed or required
10. Assist in topside work as directed or required
11. Be alert for and immediately report conditions which may be hazardous or unsafe.
12. Maintain certification in first aid and CPR
13. Properly operate a decompression chamber as required for decompression or treatment.
Organization Relationships:
Regardless of other duties, has a responsibility to follow C-Dive, LLC production, safety, and quality procedures.
Requirements:
1. Association of Diving Contractors (ADC) accredited school
2. ADCI Entry-level/tender diver certification card
3. TWIC, Safegulf/PEC, Rigger, Water Survival, First Aid CPR
4. High school graduate or equivalent and no less than 18 years old
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.40 - $22.00 per hour
