C.E.F.S. Central Illinois Public Transit/Effingham Public Transportation is hiring a full-time Dispatcher/Driver with a base of operations in Effingham. Dispatch responsibilities include scheduling transportation requests, coordination/monitoring of daily routes, management of contract routes, vehicle and driver assignments, maintaining communications with driver and operations, validation of daily trip sheets, and ensuring accuracy of records. Driver responsibilities include serving the public transportation needs with care to ensure the safety of the customers and vehicles and providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred candidates should possess strong computer skills, customer service aptitude, numerical and analytical skills, ability to think creatively, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Position is Monday through Friday. Must be willing to obtain a CDL with passenger endorsement. High School diploma or equivalent is required.
