The C&F Bank internship program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in our comprehensive internship program where they will receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals at C&F Bank.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will play a crucial role in supporting Marketing Strategies, by diving into market research, data analysis, and communications. Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with marketing campaigns – Help plan and execute digital and offline marketing efforts.
- Social media support – Draft posts, schedule content, and engage with followers.
- Market research – Gather data on competitors, trends, and customer preferences.
- Content creation – Help write blogs, newsletters, website copy, or promotional materials.
- Email marketing – Assist with building and maintaining mailing lists, creating newsletters, and tracking engagement metrics.
- Analytics and reporting – Track campaign performance and generate basic reports using tools like Google Analytics or Excel.
- Administrative support – Help with organizing files, updating contact lists, and general marketing admin tasks.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- You are pursuing a degree in Marketing or Business Administration with a minor in Marketing.
- You are a rising junior or senior.
- You are enrolled in, or have completed, marketing classes and have a thorough understanding of marketing strategy and tactics.
- You are a confident problem solver with analytical skills and the ability to communicate an understanding of your findings.
- You are passionate and hardworking, with a desire to learn.
- This position is in Richmond, VA and Toano, VA, which is a 40-minute commute from Richmond. Travel is required.
- This is a paid internship.
- This is a 12-week program beginning 5/27 and ending 8/8
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required to perform successfully in this role. Must be able to effectively utilize technology tools, such as PC and MS Office. Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels is required. Must be effective with time management and be detail oriented.
Travel
Must be able to travel between Richmond and Toano, Virginia.
Physical demands:
Employee may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time: view computer monitors, keyboarding, sitting, motion of fingers/hands/wrists, and standing/walking.
Work Environment:
Work is performed onsite in an operational office environment.
