Forklift Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Operate forklift to transport semi-finished and finished goods to and from storage areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment with the goal to keep all machines continuously running and in corresponding material flow.

· Transport dunnage to and from storage areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment.

· All products are to be staged in a uniform manner, identified with process tags and customer labels.

· Operate scales to get weight counts for finished products.

· Unloading of raw materials and dunnage and loading of finished product on corresponding trucks.

· Set up and scheduling of pickups of finished product.

· Prepare and complete required paperwork (e.g. daily production sheet, process tags, packing slips, BOL's or other defined sheets neatly and accurately).

· Maintain housekeeping standards, daily cleaning of machines, and orderly production area. Break down boxes, clean area, wipe forklift down.

· Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

· Perform inventory counts and correct existent discrepancies.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of two years forklift experience (sit-down)

· A high school diploma or equivalent is required

· Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desired

· Ability to speak, read or understand native language to ensure efficient communication with team leaders, management, customers and truck drivers

· Must be able to multitask

· Must have attention to detail

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Must be able to handle stress

· Maintain a good attendance record

· Understanding the importance to work in a team

· Must have advanced Computer Skills e.g. in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.)

· Must be able to use ERP-system

· Comply with all safety and OSHA regulations.
