Manufacturing Manager

This job is onsite in Mahwah NJ. Open to relocation. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manufacturing Manager to oversee our production facility. This role requires a strong leader who can build and manage production teams, optimize manufacturing workflows, track expenses, and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the facility, ensuring smooth operational rollout.
2. Develop staffing plans, oversee production schedules, and workflow processes to optimize efficiency.
3. Coordinate with Engineers and additional team members to establish best practices for assembly, automation, and quality control.
4. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
5. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align manufacturing goals with business needs.
6. Recruit, hire, and develop a skilled workforce, including machine operators, assemblers, and supervisors.
7. Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.
8. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to production teams.
9. Establish strong communication lines across departments to ensure alignment in production goals.
10. Liaise with other manufacturing teams to share and implement best practices, process improvements, and standardization strategies.
11. Coordinate all manufacturing initiatives, operational benchmarks, and technology transfers.
12. Ensure seamless communication and alignment between all teams to optimize production efficiency and quality.
13. Oversee daily production activities, ensuring high-quality output and on-time delivery.
14. Monitor manufacturing costs, expenses, and budget adherence to maximize efficiency.
15. Work with the Engineers and team members to identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
16. Track inventory, materials usage, and waste reduction initiatives to drive cost savings.
17. Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce inefficiencies.
18. Lead with a solutions-based mindset, proactively identifying and resolving production challenges.

Requirements

1. 10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in electro-mechanical assembly-based production.
2. Proven track record in building and leading manufacturing teams and scaling production operations.
3. Strong leadership, team building, communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset.
4. Experience in cost tracking, budget management, and expense control in a manufacturing setting.
5. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
6. MUST HAVE prior experience in and ISO environment.
7. Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, operations, and supply chain teams.
8. Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, industrial management, or related field preferred.
