What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at C&G Holsters?
We are a local holster manufacturing facility, looking for two (2) qualified persons for the position of Production Team Member. We are currently located in Brackenridge, PA 15014 moving to Kittanning, PA 16201 in early 2025 (must be willing to work at both locations)!!
This position requires a steady hand and keen attention to detail. Manufacturing and machine skills a PLUS (ie: CNC machines, vacuum presses, band saws, belt sanders, dremels, etc.). You will be responsible for molding, cutting and shaping Kydex (thermoform plastic) holsters and accessories to the specifications of work orders and/or project schedules to craft a quality product that will be going out to our customer base (Military, Law Enforcement and Private Citizens). This position will come with on-the-job training, and will ultimately require the technician to utilize the specific skills taught for continual adaptive motions utilized during the daily manufacturing process. The pay scale is based on an individual's ability to adapt to this skilled trade setting and cross training.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Identifying all materials needed for the day / week
- Prepping your work stations to ensure you have all materials needed for the day
- Molding and/or rough cutting according to the work order(s) and/or manager's work schedule, with general knowledge of products, and at the discretion of common sense.
- Distinguishing the difference between varying product models, styles, options and attachments as it pertains to the specific work order and/or project schedule keeping to the standards of the company.
- Having the ability to work well as part of a team, but also be able to function as an individual with minimal supervision.
- Being able to receive and follow the directions with diligence and attention to detail.
- Safely operate machinery and tools in a fast paced environment.
- Having the ability to follow and maintain the company standards and an evolving standard operating procedure.
- Being able to provide Quality Control for your own work and those of others in the same role.
- Keeping track of all orders completed.
- Keeping work area clean and organized.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8 hrs of the day
- Ability to lift 30 lbs over head
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop/facility/warehouse
- Ability to identify small details
- Ability to multitask with time and temperature sensitive materials
Experience:
- Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
- Assembly: 1 year (Plus)
- Firearms Knowledge: 1 year (Plus)
