Shop Mechanic

Position: Shop Mechanic

Pay type: Hourly, Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)

Reports to: Shop Manager

Purpose

C & H Excavation is looking for an experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair trucks, heavy equipment, and farming equipment at our Ault, Colorado location. Become part of our team that is focused on the expansion of our company as well as the growth of our employees.

Job Duties

• Perform basic mechanic duties on fleet, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform all on-site activities related to installation, repair, management and maintenance
• Track and document the progression of the work
• Perform troubleshooting
• Identify all issues
• Suggest and implement solution
• Adhere to company’s given rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned and willingness to help
  
  

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience as a mechanic
• Experience with managing and preserving technical equipment
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in shop or field
• Work safely and use proper tools and equipment
• Team player with willingness to learn and ability to adapt
• Good time-management and organization skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
  
  

Schedule

• Day shift (6:00am - 5:00pm) Monday through Friday, Saturday varies as needed.
