Job Summary
The C. Harper Auto Group is seeking a Parts Counterperson to join our Ford / KIA dealership in Belle Vernon, PA. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in an automotive dealership parts department and be familiar with Ford and/or KIA OEM catalogs and systems. This individual will play a key role in supporting our service technicians and retail customers by sourcing, managing, and distributing automotive parts and accessories accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist service technicians and retail customers in identifying and obtaining correct parts.
- Accurately interpret Ford and KIA parts catalogs and service manuals.
- Process and track parts orders, special orders, and returns.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external customers regarding part status, pricing, and availability.
- Review estimates and repair orders to ensure accurate part numbers and pricing.
- Maintain and manage inventory, including receiving, stocking, and conducting regular bin checks.
- Source out-of-stock parts from other dealerships or vendors as needed.
- Ensure all internal parts requests are billed correctly on repair orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts counter and storage area.
Qualifications
- 2 years of automotive parts counter experience (dealership preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive components and OEM parts systems (Ford and/or KIA preferred).
- Proficient with electronic parts catalogs and inventory systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic to advanced math calculations related to pricing, discounts, and billing.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Must be able to lift automotive parts (up to 50 lbs.) as needed.
