Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct detailed inspections of used vehicles to assess their condition and identify necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Diagnostic Testing: Perform advanced diagnostic tests to determine issues and propose effective solutions.
- Repair and Maintenance: Execute repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicle components, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and suspensions.
- Electrical Systems: Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems in used vehicles.
- Quality Assurance: Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure issues are resolved and performance standards are met.
- Routine Maintenance: Carry out essential maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of serviced vehicles and parts inventory, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the service team to deliver exceptional results and uphold customer satisfaction.
- Parts Replacement: Identify and replace defective parts, using manufacturer specifications.
- Tool Management: Properly use and maintain all tools and equipment provided by the company.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on used vehicle repairs and diagnostics.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in using maintenance tools, repair equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Certifications: Emissions and State Licenses Required.
- Knowledge of Vehicle Systems: In-depth understanding of mechanical and electronic vehicle systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of working in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy parts.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
