SUMMARY
Tends to the produced product from injection molding machines by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in all production environments including, but not limited to, general white and production cleanrooms. Operation:
*Responsible for production of one or more injection molding machines.
*Monitors general functions of injection molding machines to detect problems with cycle operations and
removal of unformed parts, etc.
*Reports defects and malfunctions in process, material, or quality to technical personnel, Supervisor, or
Team Leader for correction.
*Reads and understands Router/Work Order, Work Instructions, and Quality Plan for specific operation
details, packaging, and quality requirements.
*Performs secondary operations; trims, degates, and packs parts; grinds runners; which may require
operating mechanical equipment.
*Gages and Visually inspects parts for defects; maintains quality production.
*Perform hourly rotation of parts.
*Moves production as required.
*Must pass GMP training to work in Cleanroom Environment; follows Cleanroom rules.
*Reports scrap hourly through IQMS, prints on demand labels through
Miscellaneous:
*Asks questions until all job instructions are comprehended.
*Maintains a clean work place according to 5S standards.
*Maintains safety standards; reports unsafe conditions.
*Performs repetitious operations with a positive attitude.
*Communicates with Supervisor and Production Team leader to determine safe and effective practices to
Improve daily tasks.
SKILLS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months manufacturing related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Continue education as required.
Ability to read and complete forms, comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate with internal customers in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers, fractions and decimals to calculate production, time worked or gage tolerances.
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to manipulate or handle objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, sit and walk. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to regularly use hands and arms to push and pull to open and close the molding machine door. The employee is frequently required to bend or twist. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception to be able to see defects in parts.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Schedule:
*8 hour shift Monday-Friday. Some weekend days, either Saturday or Sunday. Some weekends have one mandatory day required. Mandatory weekends is all dependent on customer orders.
*Overtime is available for those who wish to work extra hours during the week and weekends.
