Production Supervisor- JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Position: 1st Shift Production Supervisor OR 2nd Shift Production Supervisor OR 3rd Shift Production Supervisor

Plastic Injection Molding Department

Objective: The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that daily production schedule is met. The Shift Supervisor is expected to audit the floor to make sure that the 4M’S are in place to produce quality product safely and efficiently.

• The Supervisor is responsible for making sure that all personnel on shift are adhering to company safety rules and regulations
• The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all company policies and procedures are being followed and disciplinary actions taken for failure to adhere
• The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that personnel are available to all machines as scheduled
• The Supervisor is responsible for quality of product produced on their shift
• The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining good 5s on their shift
• The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that all associates on their shift are trained properly
• The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that operators have the correct tools for performing their job (gloves, markers, knives etc.)
• The Supervisor is responsible for making sure that all associates get their breaks and lunch
• The Supervisor is responsible for making sure that production documentation is completed correctly and placed in office at end of their shift
• The Supervisor will assist in training personnel as necessary
• The Supervisor is responsible for any disciplinary actions and reprimands on their shift
• The Supervisor is responsible for contacting the Production Manager as necessary to meet customer requirements
• The Supervisor is responsible for contacting the Production Manager and HR Manager in case of an accident requiring external medical assistance
• The Supervisor is responsible for doing other jobs as assigned by Production Manager

Job Qualifications- 2 years of Supervisory or Team Leadership experience is preferred. Must able to effectively communicate production & process instructions to employees and assistants.

Compensation is based upon experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
