Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair, with a keen eye for detail and excellent customer service skills. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing vehicle damage, preparing estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Duties
- Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs to provide accurate estimates.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the repair process and answer any questions.
- Utilize knowledge of automotive repair to create comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with body technicians to ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standards.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately while maintaining records of all estimates and repairs.
- Upsell additional services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair estimation
- Strong understanding of body shop operations and estimating processes.
- Strong understanding of vehicle repair processes and how to communicate process with insurance companies to ensure a smooth start to finish.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Experience in part ordering.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Familiarity with dealership environments is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Auto estimating: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
- I-CAR Certification (Preferred)
