Job Description

The Produce Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the produce department in the store. This includes managing inventory, ordering products, setting up displays, and ensuring that all products are fresh and of high quality. The Produce Manager is also responsible for managing a team of produce associates, providing training and guidance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and order products as needed
• Ensure that all produce is fresh and of high quality
• Set up displays and maintain a clean and organized department
• Train and manage a team of produce associates
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their produce needs
• Monitor and maintain department profitability
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements

• Prior experience in a produce management role preferred
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of produce and industry trends
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
