Class B Delivery Driver

C.L. Custer has been family owned and operated since 1936 and is looking for qualified Class B delivery drivers to join their team. This position will deliver petroleum products to designated locations daily from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday, while seasonal overtime is available.

C.L. Custer offers an Educational-Employment Program (EEP) for quality candidates to obtain their Class B license. Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required by law, but C.L. Custer will assist with this process upon hiring as well, as part of the EEP.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must abide by all company policies and procedures.
• Pre/Post Trip Inspections
• Load truck in conjunction with manifest to ensure efficient loads and trips.
• Drive truck to and from designated destinations.
• Driver is required to climb in and out of the truck frequently.
• Maneuver equipment safely and effectively in all situations including inclement weather and tight spaces.
• Pull fuel hoses to fuel tanks for safe and effective delivery.
• Occasionally fix or repair tanks, totes, pumps, hoses, etc.
• Assist in keeping plant/shop/office clean and neat.
• Keep truck and tank clean and looking professional.
• Follow and comply with all federal and state laws for operating a commercial motor vehicle.

Job Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid commercial class A or B driver’s license with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• C.L. Custer offers their Educational-Employment Program for quality candidates to obtain proper credentials.
• Mutual agreement to be in place upon hiring.
• Valid Medical Card
• General knowledge of VDOT regulations and vehicle safety.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
