Job Title: Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant
Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role will encompass a variety of tasks, including basic accounting duties, administrative support, and occasional errand running. The ideal candidate should be QuickBooks Online (QBO) certified, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Duties:
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, and financial record maintenance.
- Assist in processing invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports in QuickBooks Online.
- Assist with monthly and yearly financial close processes.
- Administrative Support:
- Manage schedules, appointments, and meetings for executives.
- Handle correspondence, phone calls, and emails in a professional manner.
- Prepare documents, reports, and presentations as needed.
- Maintain organized files and records, both electronic and paper-based.
- Coordinate office supplies, equipment maintenance, and other office-related tasks.
- Errand Running:
- Perform local errands such as purchasing supplies, delivering documents, or picking up items as needed.
- Ensure all errands are completed efficiently and within the required time frames.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or business administration is preferred.
- QuickBooks Online (QBO) certification is required.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an accounting or administrative capacity.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for running errands.
