The Litigation Paralegal supports attorneys by providing comprehensive assistance in all aspects of litigation, including preparing pleadings, assisting with discovery, organizing documents, and attending hearings and trials. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents, managing large-scale document organization and retrieval systems, performing electronic research, preparing reports and trial demonstratives, coordinating with vendors, and assisting with client and witness interactions. The role also involves active participation in trial preparation, including running trial software, handling exhibits, and organizing factual information.
Successful candidates must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Office, Trial Director, and eDiscovery platforms. Familiarity with electronic research tools and citation verification is also essential.
This position requires flexibility, the ability to work under pressure, and a high degree of professionalism. Travel may be necessary up to 10 times per year, sometimes for extended periods. A four-year degree, Paralegal Certificate, or two years of prior experience as a Paralegal is required, along with at least seven years of commercial litigation experience, including trial work, preferred.
This role offers an opportunity to work closely with attorneys on high-level legal matters, contributing to the delivery of excellent client service.
The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 to $125,000. The actual base salary offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
