Manager / Director of Supply Chain:
C-Motive is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist with experience in negotiating and managing vendors and contract manufacturing partners. This individual will work closely with both leadership and technical teams, so strong communication skills are essential.
This role will oversee all aspects of the C-Motive supply chain, including the procurement of raw materials and components, contract manufacturing, and the acquisition of necessary equipment. The individual will be responsible for leading key contract negotiations and developing a comprehensive cost-reduction strategy, as well as ensuring its successful implementation.
This position is someone who leads by example and has the skills to motivate a highly technical staff. Prior start-up company experience is strongly encouraged. We are looking for someone that enjoys tackling day-to-day challenges, enjoys hands-on work, is highly organized, and takes pride in delivering results.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee contract manufacturers and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing
- Collaborate with the Quality team to evaluate incoming materials and subcomponents
- Partner with leadership and Production teams to plan and manage inventory levels effectively
- Lead comprehensive cost-reduction initiatives, working closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to implement design improvements, process enhancements, yield improvements, and secondary supplier qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7years of experience in logistic or procurement roles
- Degree in business or a related field with a focus on supply chain management
- Experience in procurement and supplier management
- Experience in contract negotiations
- Referenced strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as project management skills
- Demonstrated track record of developing a company culture of safety and quality
- Experience managing contract manufactures is a plus
- Experience with EH&S policies and ISO certification processes is a plus
