Who are you?

You are organized, driven, and ready to be a key player in both branch operations and commercial lending support. At C&N, we’re looking for a Branch Operations Specialist & Loan Support Specialist I to join our Branch Delivery team. In this hybrid role, you’ll help ensure smooth daily operations in the branch while supporting our commercial lenders to deliver exceptional experiences to our business clients. You will be responsible for:

  1. Branch Operations Management – Oversee day-to-day operational functions in the branch including teller activities, cash levels, vault balancing, and ensuring compliance with safety and audit standards.

  2. Customer Transactions – Assist with transactions on deposit, loan, and retirement accounts, wire transfers, debit card issuing, and more to deliver excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

  3. Team Support & Supervision – Assist with training and coaching branch employees, provide performance feedback, and help drive a positive and productive team environment.

  4. Commercial Lending Support – Assist with pre-call planning, onboarding commercial clients, reviewing loan documents, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of commercial loan disbursements.

  5. Loan Maintenance & Documentation – Monitor loan renewals, gather financials for reviews, handle disbursements, and maintain accurate records in internal systems to support lending activities.

  6. Collaboration – Work closely with internal departments, attorneys, title companies, and others to support loan closings and servicing, while ensuring compliance and exceptional client service.

  7. Delinquency & Payment Management – Process loan payments, monitor delinquencies, communicate with clients, and support lenders with timely updates on loan statuses.

While this position is primarily based in York, occasional travel to our Lancaster Branch may be required to support operations and ensure continuity across locations.

Requirements:

Education & Experience – You will need a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND 2-4 years in cash handling and/or customer service settings, preferably in a banking environment, as well as 1-2 years of experience assisting commercial lenders OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills  You should possess well-developed abilities and a proven track record in the following areas:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and think critically in a fast-paced environment.

  • Leadership and mentoring of others.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking systems (preferred).
