Who are you?
You are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to gain hands-on experience in protecting sensitive information. C&N is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Intern to join our dynamic team for the summer of 2025. This role provides a unique opportunity to dive into the fast-paced world of information security within the financial services industry. You'll develop foundational knowledge of security principles, tools, and best practices while contributing to key projects and initiatives that ensure our systems and data remain secure. You will be responsible for:
- Monitor Security Systems: Assist with network traffic analysis, log reviews, and real-time threat monitoring in the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Vulnerability Scanning & Threat Analysis: Use security tools to identify system vulnerabilities, analyze threats, and generate actionable reports.
- Incident Response & Risk Assessment: Support incident response processes, document actions, and contribute to small-scale risk assessments.
- Phishing Awareness & Policy Review: Assist in phishing simulations, analyze results, and review security policies for compliance improvements.
- Capstone Project: Complete a tailored project, such as a vulnerability assessment or security awareness training module, to consolidate learning.
Requirements:
Education & Experience – You should be at least a junior in college, pursuing a degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field. Previous work experience is not required; however, a genuine interest in cybersecurity and technology is essential.
This internship is full-time with an anticipated start on Monday, May 19th, and will last a total of 12 weeks with an anticipated end date of Friday, August 8th.
