Infant Teacher

Summary

Looking for an experienced infant teacher who will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and help to reach their developmental milestones. The ability to demonstrate good judgement, providepositive classroom management, and to create a positive environmet for each infant assigned to you. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an infant room

Duties

• Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in your care
• Give bottles to infants as provided by parents
• Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents
• Change diapers as needed
• Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
• Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
• Put infants in cribs for nap time
• Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
• Communicate with parents as needed
• Update the child's daily report throughout the day

Requirements

• Completion of the Early Childhood courses as required by the state of North Carolina
• Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations
• Ability to pass mandatory background check
• Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children
• Physically able to care for infants
• Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
• Reliable transportation to the Child Care center
• Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
• Knowledge of childcare licensing regulation/sanitation guidelines
• First Aid/CPR certification (Within 90 days of employment)
