CR ENGLAND, in Salt Lake is now hiring Trailer mechanics. We are looking for Journeyman Mechanics that can add their skill and expertise to our team. Pay is based on verifiable experience and certifications as well as working history. This is a full-time position. CR England is a drug and alcohol-free work environment. We are a team centered working environment, working with our Truck Drivers and Operations Department to keep them and their equipment rolling down the road in a safe manner. Hourly pay DOE. Paid weekly.
Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Preventative maintenance service and/or repair on tractors and trailers
Perform routine service and annual inspections
Electrical – Air system troubleshooting
Tire maintenance
Wheel & Hub, heavy duty brake system inspection and repair
Trailer body repairs
Suspension inspections and repair
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Qualifications are, but not limited to:
Must be 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record – pass a pre-employment drug screening
Must have basic computer skills
Must have necessary tools to perform job functions
Willing to work on becoming certified in DOT inspections, Air brake certifications, ASE certified and acquiring a CDL license
MIG Welding preferred
Trailer repair: Minimum 2 years’ experience Required
Brakes(lining, chamers, slack adjusters, air lines, etc.)
ABS - System troubleshooting and repair
Side sheet repairs - patch
Corner Radius Repairs
Lighting - Troubleshooting and repairs
Landing gear repairs
swing door replacements/ repairs
Roof Repairs - patch
Scuff Liner Repairs and or replacements
suspensions repairs
Major trailer repair/wreck repairs. "preferred"
Bottom/Top Rail repairs and or replacements
Side sheet replacements
Roof Section Replacements
Floor Section Replacements
Threshold repair/replacements
suspension replacements
removal/replacement of reefer unit
Salary : $28 - $38
