C. Richardson Counseling and Consulting, PLLC is expanding our Clinical
Rehabilitation Counseling Team. We are currently seeking Licensed Mental Health
Providers to join our team. This position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity
to transition to full-time.
The Clinical Rehabilitation Counselor will utilize both clinical and vocational expertise
in evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and providing expert
testimony. This role primarily focuses on determining employability for individuals
living with psychiatric disabilities. The position requires a strong foundation in
vocational counseling, case management, job development, and job analysis.
The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and
excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will work both independently and
as part of a team, with flexibility to work in a hybrid model that includes both in-person
and virtual sessions. Travel to client homes, job sites, and other relevant locations may be
necessary.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical counseling services by interviewing and evaluating individuals
with psychiatric disabilities.
- Collaborate with clients to develop Clinical Treatment Plans or Individual Work
Plans.
- Conduct job placement assessments, matching client desires and skills to
appropriate employment opportunities.
- Assist clients in accessing medical, social, and vocational services as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the skill demands and characteristics of
various occupations and work settings.
- Conduct transferrable skills analyses.
- Stay updated on industrial and occupational trends and local labor market
conditions.
- Leverage vocational reference sources, including:
o The Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) and Selected
Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of
Occupational Titles (SCO);
o County Business Patterns and Census reports published by the Bureau of
Census;
o The Occupational Outlook Handbook published by the Bureau of Labor
Statistics;
o Occupational analyses prepared by various state employment agencies
for the Social Security Administration under 20 CFR 404.1566(d) and
416.966(d).
Education/Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Education: A master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a
related behavioral science field.
- Licensure (required):
o Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LPC-A)
o Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC or LPCI)
o Medical Social Worker (MSW)
- Certifications (preferred):
o Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC)
o Certification from the American Board of Vocational Experts (ABVE)
o Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN(S))
o Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS)
o Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE)
o Certified Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN)
o Certified Case Manager (CCM)
Work Environment:
- This is a hybrid position requiring both in-office work (2-3 days per week) and
remote services.
