Parent Trainer (also known as a CareGiver Trainer or a Qualified Professional) - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Parent Trainer specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In this role, you will provide comprehensive training and support to caregivers, families, and individuals living with these conditions.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Develop and facilitate training programs tailored to the unique needs of caregivers, families, and individuals affected by ASD.
2. Educate caregivers on effective communication strategies, behavior management techniques, and evidence-based interventions to support individuals with ASD in their daily lives.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess the strengths and challenges of individuals with ASD, and develop person-centered care plans.
4. Provide guidance and support to caregivers in implementing strategies learned during training sessions, including assistance with skill acquisition and behavior modification.
5. Conduct assessments of caregiver training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through qualitative and quantitative measures.
6. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in the field of ASD to continually enhance training materials and methodologies.
7. Advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals with ASD within the community, promoting awareness and acceptance.
**Qualifications:**
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Behavioral Sciences or a related field.
2. Experience working with individuals with ASD, as well as their caregivers and families.
3. In-depth knowledge of behavior analysis principles, positive behavior support strategies, and trauma-informed care practices.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and empower diverse groups of caregivers and individuals.
5. Experience in conducting assessments, developing individualized care plans, and monitoring progress over time.
6. Certification in relevant areas such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or Trauma-Informed Care is desired.
7. Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
All of our positions at this time are 1099 roles and this position is full time and about 95% virtual.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
