C&S Companies is currently seeking an Aviation Resident Project Representative I position for our Syracuse office. You will be part of a team working on airport development projects. This position is diversified with opportunities to work at both general aviation and larger commercial service airports and will allow you to interact with customers. The position will require travel to airports across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York. Heavy potential for travel across the US to work with other C&S offices during the winter construction months.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include performing routine construction observation services including acting as a liaison between supervisor and contractor, arranging material testing, conducting hands-on observations for conformance of construction with civil engineering plans and specifications, notifying supervisor of problems and deviations from plans and specifications, shop drawing review in DocExpress, tracking quantities for payment in Appia and producing source documents that align with quantities on Bluebeam, and completing daily reports.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • 0-2 years of related experience
  •  Ability to maintain a daily job log and records
  • Associates degree in related field
  • Familiarity with and ability to interpret civil construction plans and specifications

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Airport construction experience (horizontal projects)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another related field
• Concrete and asphalt pavement observation
• Underground drainage, utilities and electrical

Estimated Compensation Range: $35.00 – 38.00/hour* 

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Salary : $35 - $38
