• Position Overview

C&S Companies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Transportation Principal Engineer to join our team in Rochester, NY. As a Transportation Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our transportation practice, developing client relationships, and leading strategic initiatives to enhance our presence in the market.

• Position Responsibilities
• Business Development :
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the transportation sector.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create winning proposals and presentations.
• Team Collaboration :
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the transportation practice.
• Mentor and develop staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Financial Management :
• Oversee financial performance and budgets for transportation projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
• Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified.
• Skills / Education / Experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of local transportation policies, regulations, and market dynamics.
• Experience with project management and financial oversight.
• Estimated Compensation Range : $135,200-$149,760 / year
