All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Check out a day in the life here : https : / / youtu.be / Mo7OVqe7PVYYou will contribute by : Drive a tractor-trailer (semi-truck / eighteen-wheeler) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver dry groceries to retail customers. Strive to provide a positive customer experience by completing the delivery with professionalism. Driver is responsible for making an average of 3 stops per day (with possible overnight). At point of delivery, Driver is responsible for unload and driver assistance. Pallets can consist of all types of products with a range of pallet height and pallet weight. Whenever possible, backhauls will be added where and when possible. For specific customers, Drivers will be required to count cases as well as pallet verification upon delivery Ability to maneuver truck into loading or unloading position in tight urban areas.
