What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer, Part Processing position at C & S Machine Products Inc?
SUMMARY
The Engineer is responsible for processing jobs through engineering and supports the manufacture of new parts through production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Complete New Part job processing to release to production projects.
- Complete complex Legacy Part job processing, as needed.
- Perform 2nd Engineer reviews for New Part jobs and other jobs processed through the group upon approval to complete task.
- Disposition of final products upon approval to complete task.
- Creates custom tooling design.
- Fixture design & travelers.
- Customer additional requirement updates / review before implementation (ie. MQI, ADCN, OPMPs) for New Products.
- Complete customer PPAP support/documentation/creation/submittal.
- PFMEA creation and monitoring.
- Maintenance of engineering equipment, when required.
- Participate on teams for integration of New Parts to first run processing of parts.
- Complete accurately and on time IQS document audits, as needed.
- Troubleshooting of ideas with shop floor for New Part transition to Operations.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner which will exceed their expectations.
- Reports to personnel as described in the Company’s organizational structure.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
