About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Shift Operations Manager to join our team at C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, this individual will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of daily shift activities.
This leader will be responsible for supervising Warehouse Supervisors, monitoring labor standards, and conducting performance management activities. Additionally, they will work closely with other departments to ensure that all Warehouse activities align with company goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Leadership: Oversee daily shift operations including selection, shipping, receiving, cross-docking, and trailer loading operations.
- Supervisor Management: Lead and manage Warehouse Supervisors in the efficient and safe operation of Warehouse activities.
- Labor Standards Monitoring: Monitor labor standards daily and take necessary actions to ensure these standards are achieved.
- Employee Development: Conduct performance management activities including annual performance appraisals and design of training and career development plans.
- Counseling and Coaching: Ensure that progressive coaching and counseling concepts are conducted according to established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Work Experience: General warehouse experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Education: Associate Degree or equivalent in General Studies.
- Language Ability: Bilingual ability is a plus.
