Job Description:
The Warehouse Shift Operations Manager at C&S Wholesale Grocers, Inc. is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Grocery Warehouse. This includes overseeing Warehouse Supervisors, monitoring labor standards, and conducting performance management activities.
This position requires a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee daily shift operations including selection, shipping, receiving, cross-docking, and trailer loading operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage Warehouse Supervisors in the efficient and safe operation of Warehouse activities.
- Labor Standards Monitoring: Monitor labor standards daily and take necessary actions to ensure these standards are achieved.
- Employee Development: Conduct performance management activities including annual performance appraisals and design of training and career development plans.
- Counseling and Coaching: Ensure that progressive coaching and counseling concepts are conducted according to established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: General warehouse experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Education: Associate Degree or equivalent in General Studies.
- Language Ability: Bilingual ability is a plus.
