Job Overview:
The Warehouse Shift Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily shift activities within the Grocery Warehouse environment. This individual will oversee and manage the selection, shipping, receiving, cross-docking, and trailer loading operations to guarantee that quality, safety, and production requirements are consistently met.
This leader will be responsible for directly supervising Warehouse Supervisors and leading them in the efficient and safe execution of Warehouse activities. Additionally, they will monitor labor standards on a daily basis and take necessary actions to ensure these standards are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Oversight: Directly oversee daily shift operations including selection, shipping, receiving, cross-docking, and trailer loading operations.
- Supervisor Management: Lead and manage Warehouse Supervisors in the efficient and safe operation of Warehouse activities.
- Labor Standards: Monitor labor standards daily and take appropriate action to ensure standards are achieved.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance management activities including annual performance appraisals and design of training and career development plans.
- Coaching and Counseling: Ensure that progressive coaching and counseling concepts are conducted according to established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience: General warehouse experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Educational Background: Associate Degree or equivalent in General Studies.
- Language Skills: Bilingual ability is a plus.
