Qualifications
- REQUIRED
- Grade Level: Applicants must be high school juniors or seniors (11th or 12th grade).
- GPA: A minimum GPA requirement of 3.5 or higher to ensure that the students are maintaining a good academic standing.
- School Enrollment: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a public or private high school within Greater Jackson Area.
- Completed Application Form: A standard application form that collects basic information (name, contact details, school, etc.) and resume.
- Essay: A 500–750-word essay answering a prompt about career goals, the expected impact of the externship, and what the applicant hopes to contribute to the program.
- Essay prompt and submission details will be provided from the C Spire Recruiting team after applications have been reviewed.
- Teacher/School Recommendation: A letter of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor, or administrator who can speak to the student’s character, work ethic, and potential for success in a professional environment.
Our goal is to assess a candidate's interests, motivation, and potential to benefit from the program. Interviews will be structured to understand the student’s career aspirations, their ability to work in a professional setting, and their enthusiasm for learning.
