Overview
The Inside Sales Specialist’s main responsibility is to acquire new commercial business accounts by presenting an accurate and customized proposal for each solution presented to new clients. An Inside Sales Specialist ensures all needs and requests from the sales team, other internal teams (ordering, billing, etc.), vendors, and customers are met in a timely manner with efficiency and accuracy to build and maintain positive relationships.

Responsibilities
Quotes:
- Create unique solutions that appropriately suit the client’s needs and propose expeditiously.
- Maintain a consistent knowledge of ongoing promotions/discounts applicable to the products/services offered.
- Maintain knowledge of various partner discounts to ensure accurate pricing is delivered to the customer.
- Must become proficient with the CRM (Salesforce) used to manage client relationships.
- Provide C Spire quote to outside sales representative and/or customer.
Order Validation:
- Validate all previously acquired pricing, configurations, availability, and timeframe expectations when a purchase order is received from customer.
- Ensure accuracy of quote information (e.g., bill to, ship to), based on purchase order received from customer.
- Engage and educate customer on other products and services offered by CSB to uncover hidden opportunities.
- Prepare/update quote with all required information necessary for the ordering team to process the order.
- Follow up on processed orders when necessary to provide order status, ETA, SO#, etc. to customer, sales representative, and/or manufacturer account manager when requested.
- Request expedited orders and cancel orders when necessary.
Other Functions:
- Engage the appropriate team, account manager, or department when delegating tasks.
- Find and create new opportunities by outbound calling and prospecting for new business.
- Facilitate return requests when needed by obtaining all necessary information regarding the initial order and return reason from customer/sales representative/engineer.
- Work with our accounting and/or billing teams to assist with any invoice questions/issues.
- Assist with customer software/hardware issues by communicating with manufacturer, distributor, sales representative, and/or engineer for resolution.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
- Minimum two (2) years of work experience in a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded is required; three years preferred.
- Must have excellent oral interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
- Must have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent, college is preferred.
PREFERRED
- Salesforce usage, or similar program, and/or support required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen, as well as a telephone. Must be able to work a flexible schedule shared by other department members including some evenings and weekends.
