We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency in inventory management, shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in supply chain management and operations management, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Duties
- Assist in managing warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, and receiving activities.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and monitor best practices for supply chain management and inventory management.
- Utilize transportation management systems to coordinate logistics and fleet management effectively.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement within warehouse processes and implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Must be able to lift 75lbs or more.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or supply chain management is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and shipping/receiving processes.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems and fleet management is a plus.
- Experience with third-party logistics (3PL) operations is desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not required.
