Generator Field Technicians
Compensation: $35-$50 per hour – Depending on Experience - We will offer $5,000-$10,000 in relocation or signing bonus for the right candidate!

All Field Technicians will be provided with a fully loaded pick-up truck, uniforms, phone & laptop.
Additional Information:
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:00pm, Rare Overnight Travel Required
- Candidate Location: We will consider candidates within 75 miles of market location.
- Technicians must be willing to commute to regional warehouse locations weekly to replenish truck.

Preferred Candidate Background: We are seeking candidates with experience troubleshooting, maintaining & repairing any/all makes of generators. We are looking for consistency in work history. Certifications from generator manufacturers are a plus (I.E., MTU, Cummins, John Deere, Kohler)
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all makes of generators.
- Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
- Completing preventative maintenance and repairs on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all components of the generator, engine, and switch gear.
- Positive interface with service writers, foreman, parts department, and customers
- Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion.
- Meet requirements for certifications.
- Perform administrative duties as related to role.
Power Generation Technician/Mechanic Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with industrial power generation sets.
- Experience with diesel and natural gas engines, electrical switch gear, and automatic transfer switches
- Must have your own set of general tools.
- Be able to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Use computers for web-based training and repair order system.
- Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
- Clean driving record and the ability to pass a D.O.T. Physical
Ideal Power Generation Technician/Mechanic Candidate qualities:
- Technical degree or certification a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent customer relationship skills
- Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
- The ability to set goals and accomplish them.
- The desire to take advantage of certification opportunities to have the most updated product training.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work with little supervision.
