Position Overview
The Program Management Office is seeking a Program Portfolio Manager Technical Dependencies to join our team at (Client Name). In this role, you will lead the mapping and alignment of key program milestone dependencies across active product development programs.
This position reports directly to Associate Director, Program Portfolio Management.
In this role, you will serve as a central resource to identify, align, and steer program interdependencies such as : vehicle requirements, design releases, hardware and software pedigree, prototype builds, validation activities, test asset configurations, and product launches.
This position is hybrid and does require everyone in the office 3 days per week
Responsibilities
- Maps interdependent key milestones within assigned program portfolio
- Creates and socializes detailed contingency plans to proactively manage dependency risks before they become issues
- Leverages past design, requirements, and validation experience to anticipate roadblocks and delays offering guidance to program teams
- Protects critical strategic company deliverables by championing recovery plans when issues develop
- Mentors Program Analysts and Program Managers on best practices for planning and dependencies to avoid delays, missed launches, and cost overages
- Maps full implications of scope changes to clearly socialize impacts before approval
- Applies lessons learned to support programs navigating through critical dependencies ensuring alignment to charter and overall program health
