The Project Engineer will play a vital role in assisting the project management team with the construction of multiple infrastructure projects, including grading, concrete paving, bridges, retaining walls, and asphalt. The ideal candidate will contribute to both pre-construction and construction phases, ensuring efficient project execution, quality control, and technical support throughout. Key Responsibilities:
Pre-construction:
Assist in scheduling and coordinating the development of shop drawings and work plans.
Ensure all necessary preparations are made to begin work on projects in a timely manner.
During Construction:
Track pay quantities and submit pay requests to project owners.
Evaluate project performance in terms of budget adherence and schedule.
Identify changes to project scope and assist with pricing and change orders.
Manage subcontractors, ensuring they meet quality standards and project timelines.
Provide technical support to foremen and superintendents on-site to resolve project-related challenges.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
A degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
Strong interest in field operations and a passion for working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Experience in scheduling and project management is a plus but not required.
Prior work experience in construction or engineering is preferred.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to work variable hours and participate in hands-on training.
A valid driver’s license is required.
