About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager (AMM) to join our team. This key role oversees maintenance operations at a single site, ensuring the reliability and performance of engineering assets. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager or Regional Maintenance Manager, the AMM plays a critical part in maintaining site efficiency and contributing to C&W Services' shared goals.
Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership - Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with safety protocols and overseeing safety metrics. Proactively address safety concerns and collaborate with Regional Safety Specialists to implement corrective actions.
- Operational Excellence - Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), including PM/PdM completion rates and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Leadership and Team Development - Supervise and support maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative team environment. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and team huddles to ensure alignment with site objectives and provide coaching on skill development.
- Collaboration and Client Support - Act as the on-site point of contact for maintenance-related issues, ensuring alignment between RME and Operations teams.
- Administrative Oversight - Ensure compliance with required training completion and maintain accurate data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Requirements
- Experience: 3 years in a management role overseeing maintenance teams and multi-site operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in preventive/predictive maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Work Availability: Must have the flexibility to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
