POSITION: Fifth Grade Band Sponsor
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Principal
EMPLOYMENT TERM: Semester SUPERVISES: Students in group or organization SALARY: Extracurricular Stipend
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Principal in accordance with WV State Code§ ISA-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310, and JCS Evaluation Policy.
JOB SUMMARY The sponsor will be responsible for the following:
- Instructing students on the use of band
- Leadership and support in area of responsibility.
- Establishing and implementing an improvement process for area of
- Establishing good public and employee relations in area of responsibility.
- Maintaining professional work
MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following performance standards relate to the responsibilities listed below:
1. Leadership and support in area of responsibility:
- Supervise students during all activities performed by the
- Instruct students on the use of band
- Arrange for transportation for group
- Oversee the operation of and complete necessary forms relating to activities/fundraisers in which group participates.
- Work with the principal to ensure that high academic and social standards are achieved and

QUALIFICATIONS:
Teacher certification as required by the state. Recommended by Principal. Preference given to music teacher presently employed at the school of need.
ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION:
A successful work history and a minimum of three supervisory references required for consideration.
